Day Wise Itinerary
Day 1 | Dimapur/Jorhat To Kohima (2 Hrs/4Hrs)
Arrive at Dimapur or Jorhat and begin your scenic drive towards Kohima.
Enjoy beautiful hill landscapes and winding mountain roads during the 2-hour journey.
Check in to your hotel/homestay upon arrival and relax after the drive.
Spend the evening exploring local cafés, markets, and the peaceful atmosphere of Kohima.
Day 2 | Kohima Local Tour To Khonoma (Half Day) To Kohima
Begin the day with a local sightseeing tour of Kohima covering viewpoints, Cathedral, and important town landmarks. A local guide will join you for the tour to share insights about Naga culture and history.
Visit the historic Kohima War Cemetery and explore the vibrant local market filled with traditional produce, smoked meats, and bamboo crafts.
After lunch, drive to Khonoma, India’s first Green Village, known for its conservation practices and tribal heritage.
Explore terraced farms, Morungs, and traditional clan houses before returning to Kohima by evening.
Day 3 | Kohima To Kigwema To Kisama To Kohima
Drive from Kohima to Kigwema, a picturesque Angami village known for its traditional homes and fascinating local legends.
Continue to Kisama Heritage Village, the famous venue of the annual Hornbill Festival.
Explore the tribal Morungs with a local guide who will share insights into Naga architecture, traditions, symbolism, and cultural identity.
Return to Kohima by evening. If time permits, visit the Kohima Cathedral for beautiful sunset views over the town.
Day 4 | Kohima To Touphema To Mokokchung (5 hrs, 160 Km)
Start from Jang after breakfast
Visit the stunning Nuranang Falls (Jang Falls)
Continue drive towards Tawang with scenic Himalayan views
Visit Tawang Monastery
Explore the local market in Tawang
Check-in at hotel and relax
Day 5 | Mokokchung (Guided Tour – Ao Naga Villages)
Spend the day exploring the Ao Naga heartland around Mokokchung with a local guide.
Visit Ungma, one of the oldest Ao Naga villages, known for its rich traditions and heritage.
Continue to Longkhum, famous for panoramic hill views and historic warrior routes.
Explore traditional Morungs, log drums, clan houses, and heritage sites while interacting with local elders or artisans (subject to availability) before returning to Mokokchung by evening.
Day 6 | Mokokchung To Dimapur/Jorhat (7Hrs/4Hrs)
Start early from Mokokchung after breakfast and begin the return journey through scenic hill roads.
Drive towards Dimapur or Jorhat as per your preferred drop location.
Enjoy beautiful countryside views during the journey, with optional stops for refreshments along the way.
Trip concludes with drop-off at Dimapur or Jorhat.
